On June 30th 2013, 19 members of the City of Prescott, Arizona firehouse were killed.

They were part of an elite crew called the Granite Mountain Hotshots.

The fire was started by a lightning strike that spread hundreds of acres and destroyed 100 structures.

According to the official report the crew was making its way to a safety zone when the winds changed and the fire split, trapping all 19.

Today we honor their lives and attempt to embody the courage they possessed every time they responded to an emergency. (link)
