This is a shot of Chris Martin’s 235 Clean and Jerk. I love this picture not only because it was awesome to witness but look at David and Jamie, one of ours and one of theirs united in the moment of Chris’s victorious lift. This shot shows a large part of what CrossFit — and Saturday — was all about. Pushing yourself, encouraging others, and being a part of an amazing community.
Some stats from the weekend Throwdown:
Laiza used the 35lb Kettlebell for the first time (PR!) in Event 1 and ended up tying for 3rd. She also had a time of 7:11 for Event 4 and clean and jerked 100lbs.
Polina tied for 2nd in Event 2 with a 105 Clean and Jerk (PR!)
Hudson PR’d his Clean and Jerk by 10lbs on Event 2 with 165. He also tied Chris Martin for 4th on Event 1
David PR’d his Clean and Jerk on Event 2 with 170lbs.
Sean PR’d his Clean and Jerk by 5lbs on Event 2 with 190 (4th place tie). He also PR’d the amount of Double-Unders he’s ever gotten on Event 3 with 142!
Greg tied for 1st on Event 1, got 2nd on Event 3 with 182 Du’s and tied for 4th on Event 2 and 4th on Event 4.
Dardy killed Event 1, solidly taking 1st with her stellar Toes2Bar and took 2nd on Event 2 with a 115 Clean and Jerk. She was one of only two women who RXed it that day.
Brandon tied for 1st on Event 1, took 3rd on Event 2 with a 210lb Clean and Jerk, took 3rd on Event 3 and 4. He took 2nd place overall for the RX’d men.
Sophie tied for 1st place on Event 2 with a 115 Clean and Jerk, took 2nd on Event 1 and 2nd on Event 4. She came in 2nd place overall for the Scaled women.
Chris Martin took 1st in Event 2 with a 235lb Clean and Jerk, took 1st on Event 3 with 192 Du’s, and finished 2nd on Event 4. He came in 1st place overall for the RX’d men.
So proud of everyone for their BIG efforts all day Saturday!! Hope you’re all rested and feel free to hit the optional Throwdown recovery WOD tomorrow of : 20 mins on the AD or Rower at 60-70% effort, easy restorative pace. Then foam roll, mobility, and stretch.
